Nicotinamide Riboside is a NAD+ precursor - a molecule that supports the NAD+ pathway, the cellular energy currency involved in DNA repair, cellular metabolism, and the signalling pathways that regulate how cells age. NAD+ levels decline by approximately 50% between the ages of 40 and 60. The longevity medicine field has built an entire supplementation category around restoring NAD+ levels systemically. The Longevity Cream applies the same molecule topically, sourced as Niagen® by ChromaDex - the benchmark standard. 

Resveratrol activates autophagy - the cellular self-cleaning process whose progressive decline longevity biologists understand as one of the primary drivers of the ageing phenotype. The challenge in skincare has always been stability and delivery: unencapsulated, Resveratrol oxidises rapidly and cannot reach the depth where it can act. The Refinement Polish uses dual PHA - Polyhydroxy Acids - which exfoliate at a larger molecular size than AHAs, making them appropriate for sensitive and reactive skin. The ceramide complex present throughout the protocol - Ceramide NP, AP, and EOP with cholesterol and linoleic acid - actively supports barrier function and reduces the sensitivity that can accompany active ingredient use. The protocol is designed to be tolerable for daily use. Those with specific skin conditions should consult a dermatologist before beginning any new skincare regimen.

The Eye Night Repair contains encapsulated Retinaldehyde. Retinoids of all forms are typically avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding. We recommend consulting your physician or dermatologist before using any retinoid-containing product during this period. The remaining four formulations do not contain retinoids and are suitable for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, though we always recommend professional guidance.

The Vellura Protocol is designed as a complete system. If you are using other products alongside the protocol, apply water-based formulations before the Renewal Serum, and oil-based formulations after The Longevity Cream. SPF should always be the final morning step. Avoid using other retinoid-containing products on evenings when you use The Eye Night Repair.

Yes. The Vellura formulations contain no added fragrance. Fragrance is one of the most common causes of cosmetic sensitivity reactions, and it serves no biological function in a formulation designed around cellular mechanisms. We did not include it.
